Introduction

This page will contain links to download the source files for the Dextrus hand. Anything on here is free to use, modify, and distribute as you please.

Downloads will be provided each time a significant milestone of the project is reached.

Ada

The latest open source robotic the Ada hand has been developed by Open Bionics, building on the work of the Open Hand Project and can be found here.

Kits to build this hand are also available for purchase and can be found here.

Version 2.0

This version is now obsolete and unsupported. Please refer to openbionics.com/shop/ada for the latest (supported) robotic hand design from Open Bionics.

Here are the download links for version 2.0 of the Dextrus hand, which includes all of the CAD files, electronics files and code.

Version 1.1

Here are the download links for version 1.1 of the Dextrus hand. The .zip folder includes all of the source files, printable .stl files, code and bill of materials to create your own robotic hand. This is still very much a work in progress, but please feel free to have a go at building your own and playing around with it! You can find instructions on how to build the hand here.

Version 1.0

Here are the download links for version 1.0 of the Dextrus hand, which was the version shown in the indiegogo video. The 3D models are in .obj format and the code is written in NI LabVIEW.

No stl files will be available because this version of the hand is not ready for use, but might be useful for people who are developing similar devices or are wishing to take the designs forward in their own way. Electronics and embedded code have not been developed at this stage.

Pictures

Here is a zip folder of pictures of the hand. You can see the thumbnails to the right of this text. The resolution of each image is around 2592 x 1728 pixels.

I own all the rights to these images and anyone may use them as they please.
